Hemalatha Chandrasekaran is an Employee Experience (EX) and Customer Experience (CX) enthusiast and strategist,and the founder of Upacharah LLC.
Her interest in these domains began early in her career through hands-on work in customer support and close collaboration with Human Resource teams, where she gained a well-rounded understanding of customer experience, employee needs, and the realities faced by Human Resource managers. These experiences showed her how thoughtfully designed systems and products can genuinely support people—both employees and customers—in their day-to-day work. Known for her empathy and ability to see situations from others’ perspectives, she naturally gravitates toward understanding real needs, uncovering pain points, and suggesting practical improvements.
Through Upacharah, she collaborates with businesses across industries, supporting initiatives that require clarity, process stability, or fresh ways of thinking. Her work often involves listening, brainstorming, and shaping simple frameworks that teams can realistically implement.
Beyond her consulting work, she continues to research and reflect on customer- and people-centric practices, sharing insights and learnings through her writing.
